Ask a question about this product

There are four (4) varieties of green coffee beans while there could be five (5) to ten (10) origins per bean variety. The four varieties are:

  • Arabica
  • Robusta
  • Liberica
  • Exelsa

LIBERICA is considered lowland coffee. It has pungent aroma and pharmacopical, strong woody taste.  It  has a straight  bitter bite leaving a natural acidic aftertaste. Among all  the four coffee varietals, Liberica is the biggest bean  and is more popularly called among locals as ‘barako’ coffee.  The poetic & peace-loving indigenous Mangyan tribes of  Mindoro  have long cultivated these coffee  trees.  Mt. Halcon, home to the Mangyans,  is one the most challenging climbs in the Philippines.
