The roasted coffee beans have different grades of roasting namely:
LIBERICA is considered lowland coffee. It has pungent aroma and pharmacopical, strong woody taste. It has a straight bitter bite leaving a natural acidic aftertaste. Among all the four coffee varietals, Liberica is the biggest bean and is more popularly called among locals as ‘barako’ coffee. The poetic & peace-loving indigenous Mangyan tribes of Mindoro have long cultivated these coffee trees. Mt. Halcon, home to the Mangyans, is one the most challenging climbs in the Philippines.
